This is a letter that I sent to Allen and Associates, and never even received an ackowledgement that they received it.

Dear XXXXX,
I started with Allen and Associates in April and if you recall, you were my contact person. After my resume was written, you had me select 300 companies to send a letter of introduction to. I was led to believe that these companies had agreed to your service and would be receptive to this type of contact. This is where the trouble started. I made my phone calls as follow-up like you instructed and very quickly found out the situation wasn't what was presented. The people I called were rude, and told me that I was to go through their normal application channels, which were either their internet sites or Human Resource Departments. I managed to speak with one CEO who asked me, as an executive, "Why would I have an HR department in my company and then end up doing the job myself", meaning the contacting and pre-screening. He then told me not to bother him again. This whole process turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a job seeker. It did not yield any results, only very rude rejection and major loss of time.
The next part of your service I used was to distribute my resume through your distribution system. I actually sent my resume at least four separate times targeting different types of markets. This was at least 25,000 contacts, which yielded absolutely no responses, other than resume evaluations which were completely worthless with no results.
I then had my resume, which you had written, evaluated by three different firms. All responded with the same criticism. They found the resume was not well written, it did not convey a since of strength, but rather weakness, and was written in a redundant style. The main consensus was that my background was much stronger than this resume indicated.
Two months ago I interviewed with two placement firms. They asked me if I had contacted any other firms and told them of yours. The response was not favorable to your company, and one had me speak to three of their clients that had previously been with you. They confirmed that they had the same negative experience as I did. The firm that I went with has already yielded two interviews and one pending offer.
I then decided to do some research and searched the internet for pages about your company to see if anyone might have posted a problem or complaint. The results yielded several sites, most of which were poorly written and not believable; however, please see the site below as this one seems to confirm what I have experienced.

To summarize this letter, I am contesting the charges on my credit card and feel it pertinent to contact others who may have received the same sub-standard services from your firm. I feel that as a job seeker I came to you in good faith, expecting positive results and only received negative responses and empty promises. You have misrepresented your company.in my opinion, you are taking people at a vulnerable point in their life and deceiving them into thinking you will actually help them find employment, when in reality you do substandard work and do not follow the accepted protocols for applying for work.
