I just want to take the time to express my fury with this company. We bought our first house in a new city, so of course we activated the alarm that was already in the house. The representative glazed over the fact that we would be locked in for five years, but more to the point, we have accidentally tripped the alarm over 6 times, there was a brick thrown through our window and we have used the panic buttons 2x and none of these times did slomins bother to call us.
Because of this, we felt like we were throwing money away monthly and decided to cancel. So we called them in January and the representative took my info and said ok, thank you. So, as far as I was concerned it was canceled.
The next thing I know, we get a bill in April saying that we can pay $1200 to cancel or we can continue service and pay for the past few months (remember the months that we thought we canceled?)
So we call them, and the representative was snide and rude and could care less about what I was saying. Her attitude was one of -oh well, so how do you want to pay this?' she talked over me and was very rude and disrespectful.
I got the feeling that the person you sign the contract with baits you and then once you sign-THEY DON'T HAVE TO TREAT YOU NICELY ANYMORE they also don't have to monitor your system, either, because we certainly never got a call EVER!
So, here we are, paying for service that probably doesn't exist, let's just hope that the alarm going off will be enough of a deterrent if someone actually did break in.
So, No-I am not interested in employees responses about how it's our fault, we are the bad guys, boo hoo hoo. I just want people in the market to look anywhere but slomins, my experience has been terrible.
