In early May of I brought several of my model friends to this open call at Jean Pierre International. After speaking on the phone with "Jean Pierre" himself, he gave me the impression of a legitimate business.
When we arrived at his "house", we saw accountants filing tax returns and models storming out of his office. He then sat us down and explained that he had a modeling school that charged $300.00 to each aspiring model/actress. He insisted that his company was legitimate but had no proof, no web-site, no portfolio, nothing.
But we noticed fake certifications on the walls showing that he was an accountant. We also requested the name of his web-site and he claimed that it was "under construction". He also claimed that he had models in the Middle East that were making $100.000 dollars a day because of his so called "school".
After being pressured and lied to, we stormed out of his house on Fulton Street and he yelled, "we were wasting his time". His advertisement has been posted in the SF Weekly for several years and listed in the yellow pages as well.
But now when I go to look for it, the name has changed to Jean Pierre Company CPO. I also called the phone number and the business recording is no longer Jean Pierre International Modeling.
This is a very sketchy, fraudulent business of whatever sort. I would advise anyone to be very cautious!
