My report is regarding a letter i received from the Euromillones loteria International. That I won $ 715,810.000.
In the letter I was advised to fill in the accompanying form with my details and choose whether I wanted the winnings put into my bank account, receive a cheque or pick it up. Then I was to ring my nominated person in Spain and fax this form through to them to confirm the winnings.
I did not fill in the form, as I looked up on the internet and found that this is a fake lotteries commission in Madrid, Spain.
The reason I have chosen to make this report is to ensure that other's who receive letters similar to the one I received (and there seems to be a lot of us all over the world!) don't fall into these peoples trap, as it seems that this scam has been running for a number of years and is still going.
I would really like to know how these people got hold of my name and address and how I can stop being sent more of these in the future, as this is not the first time.
