I am so disgusted with Sleepy's. I went into a Sleepy's in the Bronx to purchase a mattress and boxspring for my son who has autism, and is fifteen years old. All of this was explained to the salespeople plus the fact that they also received a partial payment from the State of New York for my sons mattress and boxspring.
First there was a problem with delivery, and I had to purchase a cot, then when it was finally delivered, the frame was not assembled properly. My son slipped, and fell on the bed in his room, and that boxspring if it was worth a dollar that would be too much. It was in pieces, the plastic frame wheels were also in pieces, along with that frame. I called but to no avail, finally someone was sent to take photos, and bottom line they said nothing could be done for me via a letter accompanied by the photos.
Then I receive a phone call from a rep of Sleepy's parroting the same thing that was in the letter as though I could not read. Years ago stores would bend over backwards to keep their customers, now they just bend over for cash. I for one would love to see Sleepy's pay especially the way they knowingly just disregarded a developmentally disabled consumer.
