I ordered the free 250 count box of business cards from Visaprint. I paid the shipping charge via my debit card. I got the cards on time and was satisfied. On March 20, received an e-mail from them. This is an exact copy of the e-mail...

Simply click on the "My Account" link located at the top of the page. From there, click on the "Cancel Membership" link on the left side of the page and follow the instructions provided. You will receive an immediate confirmation that your membership has been cancelled.

2. Alternatively, you can cancel by calling VistaPrint Rewards at 888-243-6185. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7AM to 9PM, Saturday from 7AM to 4PM (CT).

As a reminder, the next billing date for your 14.95 membership fee is 4/01. Your account will be billed on or after this date, according to the membership terms agreed upon.

Okay, so I went to the website and followed the directions to cancel my "account" which I never signed up for in the first place! I got a confirmation e-mail that the "account" was cancelled. Just to be on the safe side, I called the toll free number to verify it. I was patched through to a voice messaging system that confirmed it was cancelled. I then spoke to a customer service representative named Nicole. She looked up my account and asked, "what can I do for you?" She didn't say, 'you're account is cancelled'. I then told her to verify that my account, which I never signed up for, was cancelled. She confirmed it was cancelled. I stated, " you aren't going to charge my debit on April 1st, are you?" She replied, "no, you're debit will not be charged". I will be watching my account closely on April 1st to make sure they don't charge me!

It's a shame that they have to do this. The product and services are good enough that they shouldn't HAVE to deceitfully charge people. I was planning on using them again, not for free stuff, but to purchase because the price was good! They won't get my business again.
