Eharmony
Ripoff & Scams scams, ripoff, dating service scams, no customer service or support

First off... If any class action suites against Eharmony come about. I would like to be in on one please.

Having been a victim in an abusive marriage, and having moved to a small town... Finally ready to meet serious adults looking for a relationship... Tried Eharmony, supposedly the number 1 online dating site.

I was not happy with the matches, nor inability to view photos (if they even had any) but I decided to give it a try.

Due to a glitch in my profile, I was not recieving matches. I contacted customer service about it afew times, got the run around about "it only takes one match" and to expand my choices... Finally an email arrived from a customer service manger inquiring about the problem and asking if it had been resolved... I responded, telling her no, asking her to simply have someone review my profile to look for a technical error... I recieved no help or further contact.

Don't ask me how managed to finally get help, but one of the depts I contacted finally viewed my profile and found it was an error on their part.

I have had over 300 matches in a matter of afew months... All but about 15 closed on my part or theirs, due to distance, lack of any pictures or response on their part... And I have had mine closed for things such as "I just don't feel the chemistry" after reading afew pharagraphs about me.

I have meet afew of the matchs. None of which I ever would have chosen myself or would go out with again.

The biggest problems with profiles on eharmony I believe being: bogus profiles or profiles started during free weekends and not being able to reply or view questions or info after that... No pictures on the great majority... Primarily out of state or "flexible matches" being half way across the country.

I recently recieved a match "too good to be true", which usually means just that. A seemingly wonderful man, who's wife died from blood cancer, his 6 yr old daughter living with his mom... He very quickly declared his undying love for me, without ever meeting. His mother even started emailing me.

Out of the blue, he had business trips working on contracts that would make it possible for him to be with me.

After chatting or talking by phone several times daily, he asked a small favor... He was in Africia on business, could I find a game his daughter wanted for a gift? I hesitantly asked which one... Xbox360, not the game, but entire system which is approx. $500... I refused, telling him this was practicly a house payment for me.

He did not contact me for 24 hours... Very strange for him. When he did contact me, he said I should have just told him I could not afford it... No more than afew days later, he was begging me for another favor... He went over his business spending money and had no way home from Africia... He needed me to come up with $2500 to help him... I hung up on him.

I have reported this individual to eharmony under several different areas... I recieve no responses about this scamer and his profile is still up.

Eharmony is the perfect breading grounds for scams and rip offs because of their lack of customer service.

I've been lonesome, hurt in so many ways, and looking for a good man to love and return that love. What I find with eharmony are false promises, people trying to rip me off and fakes and phonies.
