After interviewing with this company THREE times, they offered me a position, then offered me a better position. I accepted, we signed a contract, then five days later they said "My references were bad." Funny, since employers check references before they hire you!
Here's what is even worse: They gave me $2000.00 upfront to go to work there, then they placed a stop payment on the check AFTER I deposited it WITHOUT ANY NOTICE THAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO SO EVEN WHEN I ASKED ABOUT IT!
If you are thinking about working here, don't! They are really wonderful CHRISTIAN people (That's what they said!) when you interview, but everything changes soon thereafter. After all, is putting a stop payment on a check the "Christian" thing to do? Don't think so and they make REAL CHRISTIANS look bad!
I have left messages - several messages - for Roger Flack, the owner, and have yet to receive even a return call, text messages, or an email. I am trying to deal with the bad check, the overdraft fees it created, and I will keep you posted on the status.
MORAL OF THE STORY: AN INTERVIEW IS NOT ONLY THEM INTERVIEWING YOU, BUT YOU INTERVIEWING THEM. QUESTION EVERYTHING! I wish I had prior to accepting their offer of employment as I now know about other business ventures that were handled inappropriately by the same owner.
