They called me early in the morning and I did not answer my phone. They called me again in the afternoon. When I answered they informed me I was one of the chosen individuals to win a trip to Hawaii, cash price and etc. The lady told me I got 3 free subscriptions and I get a free watch either for myself or my significant other. Then she informed me that her manager would call me to ask how she did.
A couple of seconds later, her manager called and ask about her service and tried to attach more magazines. He informed me that I have time to change my subscriptions. He did not inform me about the charges. He asked for my credit card number and informed me i will not be charged. He stated this a couple of times to make himself clear to inform me there will be no charges on my card. Later on, he told me an automated operator would ask me a couple of questions. This is were I got confused and suspicious.
After the automated operator asked me questions that I could barely understand, the manager started replying for me and telling me what to say. After the automated operator, he asked for my ssn. Not thinking very clearly and very confused about what just occurred I gave my ssn. Then the manager hanged up very quickly. That's when it fully occurred to me I got scammed.
Later on, I tried to call the number that's when I realized I will be going in circles to get a hold of them. They have different numbers and one number states a different business hours. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a hold of them to cancel my subscription before it is too late. They already tried to get authorization from my credit card company. This how I know they are trying to scam me.
