I used Intelius to track down an address that showed up on my husband's credit report. One week later I received a letter from 24 Protect Plus thanking me for my membership which will cost me $19.95 per month. This letter shows up in a plain white envelope, written on plain white paper. Most people would probably throw it in the trash without opening it.
Somewhere imbedded in the confirmation process of Intelius is a pop up window for 24 Protect Plus. If you do not click the no thanks button, not the X, but the no thanks, that supposedly authorizes 24 Protect Plus to sign you up.
First of all SHAME ON INTELIUS for doing busines will such a fraudulent company.intelius is as much to blame as 24 Protect Plus. Based on what I have read, 24 Protect Plus is owned by Adaptive Marketing LLC, which is connected to Vertrue. These types of companies must be stopped. People work way to hard to be taken advantage of like this.
