I bought five $2 African Dream phone cards. With a couple of them, I had no problem. I had problem with at least two I can recall. With one of those, I placed a call and was supposed to talk for 16 minutes; talked for approximately 8 minutes then all of a sudden the call got disconnected. I tried calling my party again but to my big surprise I heard the message that I did not have enough minutes to make a call. I then called their customer service phone number, waited for a long time, then finally got to speak with a lady who stated "the card is designed for a single use only". Even though it was total nonsense and absurd to me, I took it easy, hung up, scratched another card and made another call. I used several cards in the past and never heard that kind of statement. You can make as many calls you want with a single card as long as as your minutes minus the connection allows you.

I needed to use up the cards obviously. Tried making calls again another time with another card, the connection was really bad. You will not be able to tell whether the phone on the other end was ringing or not, total silence. First time, waited for about a minute and hung up. Tried a second time, waited for a couple of minutes not sure what was going on. My experience is that some times when you exercise some patience, you finally can hear the phone ringing on the end. This time, nothing happened. I called the customer service toll-free number and waited for over 12 minutes before I was able to speak with a lady who said she will somebody research into what happened and the money will be put back on the card. She asked me to call the following day if reimbursement is not done. I checked on the card a day later only to realize nothing was done. I called them again, I spoke with a representative who declared there was nothing they could do for me. I got pissed off and requested to speak with a supervisor. Well, this disrespectful and arrogant representative just hung up on me.

I thought I would not give up. I called again, spoke with agent 2508 who pretty much exhibited the same behavior. He would not let me speak with anybody above him and would do nothing towards customer satisfaction. For about 15 minutes I insisted in getting the problem resolved - the fact is I did not say a word to see the minutes and my money burned up that way. There is no disclosure on the card but he kept telling me I should have followed instructions on the card and not wait for over 40 seconds trying to figure out what was going on. I was not ready to give up, but with the same arrogance, he also ended up hanging up on me.

Conclusion: a bunch of crooks in a company that is ready to rip off consumers and like vampires, suck the consumers up to the bone. Needless to say I'm done with them.
