Billing scam, holding our credit hostage to pay fraudulent bill!

So, our cell phones have been disconnected after 4 months worth of a billing nightmare. If anyone chooses to go with Sprint who is not already with them, so help me God I will track you down and slap you. HARD!
In Sept. We had paid online our current bill of $140. Sprint deducted it from our checking account twice. We have the bank records to prove this.

After many many calls and arguments with Sprint, they agreed to credit our checking account for the extra deduction of $140. However, when they credited our checking account, they also billed the Sprint account $140 as a "misc charge". Then, they sent us a refund check of $140, but billed us yet again the $140 "misc charge", making our bill "due" $280. Many many many calls over the past 4 months, still no resolve.in the meantime, we have continued to pay the current bills as they come in, on time every month. But, this $280 has remained outstanding since Sept as we try to get Sprint to get their crap together. We know that we would owe one of the refunds of $140 back, but will not send it until they get this fixed.

So, most recently, we went online and found that our total past due balance is $430! When we checked on it, we learned that there are $35 worth of late fees since we didn't pay the $280 (that we didn't owe to begin with), and they have tacked on another $117 bill to the past due balance, which no one can explain. We have gone through the billing 8 ways from Sunday, and they don't know where it came from or what it's for, but they know we owe it garsh darn!

So, we learned yesterday that our phones have been disconnected. We do our billing online, so when we went online to find contact info for sprint and look at our bill, we found that they also disconnected our ability to go online (user name and password denied). So, after 3 hours on the phone last night with them, Sprint has given us three options. #1 - We can pay the full $430 (that we don't owe) to have service restored, #2 - We don't pay the $430, and they turn our bill over to collections (which will affect our credit), or #3 -we can cancel our cell phone contract which would leave us to pay the $430 "due", lose our $200 deposit, and would be responsible to pay a $200 cancellation fee on EACH PHONE which is a total of $1030.

We feel very much as though they are holding our credit hostage to collect on fraudulent charges and we are really stuck. We have talked to every upper level of management that we can find, have yelled, screamed, begged, pleaded, so on and so forth. Last night my husband left a message for some Paul Atoya (per the service Rep. Ryan something) and told him to call back by 10:00 am CST today. I'm not holding my breath that he will call.

Per a suggestion on Google, problems with Sprint should be forwarded to the FCC, and I see on usacomplaints.com, I'm not the first to complain about this type of issue. I had to tell my boss what was going on because my cell phone is supposed to be available to my work clients as well. How embarassing to tell your boss that your phone service has been disconnected! She suggested contacting the NE attorney general, which I think I will do. Beyond the FCC and the Attorney General, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are feeling very helpless and as though we are going to be stuck paying the $430 just to protect our credit that we have worked so hard on to keep in good standing.
Thanks.
