I was quoted $360.00 to move a small 2 bdrm apt, after filling out an inventory list. They showed up 2 hours late with only two men. It eas supposed to be three on the estimate given. They assured me I would be " taken care of"
They unnecessarily used packing materials to the extreme. As in four rolls of packing tape for a box alreay sealed.
They got to the new address, and unloaded everything into the car port. Then presented me with a $1065.00 bill. When I asked to take to the manager, I was put onthe phone with a very rude man who said it had taken them 10.5 hr instead of 3 because of the missing man.
When I refused to pay that amount, they went outside and started throwing my belongings back into the truck. I called the police but they could do nothing as it is a civil matter. I was forced to pay them.
After examing my things more closely the next day, several of my " china closet items" are broken. My sons crib is not together properly and he cannot sleep in it. My china cabinet is scratched on the top and looks horrible.
