Complaint / Review
Options Talent Agency
Ripoff

Approximately two months ago, my wife was searching different employment options in lieu of her job with the U.S. Goverment where she has worked for the last five years, and has a very healthy salary and benefit package.

After entering her resume in Monster.com, as you can guess she was contacted immediately by a "Scout" with Options Talent Agency from the San Francisco Office. My wife who has a Masters Degree was duped by some moron who told her she met the company profile and qualifications to be a talent scout.

My wife who also was a former fitness model and competitor innocently followed her instinct and was told to show up at the San Francisco Office for an "All Day" interview for the position of "Talent Scout".

As a veteran Police Inspector, I was immediately suspicious about the nature of this interview based on the information my wife had provided me, but tried to be a supportive husband and let her proceed with the interview anyway. I knew what was coming, but wanted to make her own judgement.

As you can imagine, my wife returned home so excited, and told me she had attended the interview with approximately "30" other "Talent Scout" which told me something was wrong right away. How many interviews do you attend all day with thrity other people.

Unfortunately for me this whole dilemna almost prompted my wife to quit her high paying job and caused much tension between us. Especially after she told me she would work only on commision with no benefits for the first ninety days, and her commission is dictated by talent she was to scout at shopping malls and etc.
Man this thing stunk for the beginning.

First of all think about it. How many jobs pay you only commission with no benefits for the first ninety days, and tell you to go to shopping malls to recruit "Talent".in addition you get the make your own hours, and need to meet monthly goals. My wife was given some astronomical goal for her first month and told she could make a whopping $1200.00."Oh Boy" I make that in two days teaching part time, and this is way less than my wifes weekly salary.

Anyway this whole thing had my wife so hyped up, I got suspicious and on a Saturday drove to the San Ramon office to look inside. What I saw was cheap furniture, and a typical here today and gone tommorrow office suite which was very evident as you look inside the window. I then looked at the employee parking, and all you saw was beat up cars. Someone here isn't a very good scout! Pay attention to these type of things no matter where you apply, because these places are not charities, they are there to make easy and fast money at no expense even yours.

Anyway needless to say, after several arguments I talked my wife out of this scam, and as a law enforcement Officer I want to pass this info on to everyone, and remind you that if it is too good to be true, it is not true. My wife now thanks me for my wisdom, and I hope I can at least help you as well and prevent you from jeopardizing your financial well being for this scam.

Watch out!
