Edye Miller - Nothin Compares
Substandard bulldogs, health problems, possible abuse Minnesota

I found Edye through puppy find and went to her website. I had wanted a bulldog for quite a while and she had the female that fit what I wanted. I contacted her and all went well. She shipped out Phoebe and the transaction went wonderful. A week later we took Phoebe out of town with us and she had a seizure, we spent a very expensive night in an emergency vet office and came home the next morning for a call in appointment with her primary vet.

During the exam the vet (who has bulldog experience) noticed that even with the bulldogs being known for their hips this dog had an EXTREME amount of play in her hips as well as mange. I contacted the breeder and was told you cannot tell at that age if a dog has bad hips. I had vets at the University of Wisconsin Madison clinic look her over and they suggested I get her fixed right away and contact the breeder, this dog would not make a good candidate for show or breeding, which is what she was purchased for.

I kept Edye Miller up to date on what was going on and wanted a replacement puppy as her guarantee stated and I had the paperwork to back up my request. After much time had elapsed in which she never had an available puppy, but was selling many on her website I requested on that was advertised available. She was quick to agree and now I know why.

This dog was delivered to me, I paid shipping, not a problem with that. She had worms, cherry eye and had a large black scar tissue type mass on her head which the vet said is normal for a dog kept in a kennel too small for them and it takes time to get a scar like that, it was not a fresh wound.

I have been nice to Edye to try to get this dogs AKC papers, and now a year later she says she has them and can send them to me for $50.00 Once I get them I will be reporting her to the AKC as the vet papers I have for this dog's health certificate do not match the dog she sent me.

Luckily both girls are doing ok now that they have had the proper care, the younger one though may have a malignancy on her leg. The vet is watching her closely.
