I really wonted to go back into bussines so I went online to see what kind of government grants were availible. I found this company (ICFinancials). I filled out the online application. One hour later a gentalman named Perter Davis called and told me that I qualify and to fill out the cantract and send it back with a money order to cover the cost of the filing. Seemed reasonable.
So I followed his request that day May 27. Two weeks later I get a call fram Rebbeca Stein saying that I needed to come up with a bussines Plan that had to be 80 pages. Well I called 3 banks in my area, including my own, to ask if most bussines plans had to have that many pages without being repeditive. They all told me that was unherd of in my field of bussines (Lawncare and Landscaping).
I found A company to write my plan so it would look more professinal and to show I was very serious. I used to be in bussines but my partner and his family stabed my in the back so I had to walk away. Having my own campany is all I could think of for 3 years.
I sent them the plan and for 3 weeks I had not herd from them so I called on July 20,07 and a gentalman looked at my file and said that they were happy with everthing. I even was made to fill out a screening questionare. He said that I only had one more step to go and that was to fill out one more form and that was to be sent to the government and after that I would be dealing with them from that point on.
Well I never got that final paper work. I tried calling them in the first week of August and a computer said this number is bloked BPBS1015. That made me nervous. I called Information and gave them the number and address and they said that they did not exsist.
I sent them many emails because that still worked and their reply was that I would be reciving my bennifite report in 2-3 bussiness days. That was on August 30,07. Still have not heard anything. I decided to look at there web site and it does not exsist anymore. So I googled them and thats when I found out that this was all just a big scam when I saw usacomplaints.com on them.
Needless to say I am out $679.00 total becaust of a false promise of a government grant. There email is still operational so anybody in the same situation im in just send them a bunch of emails letting them know that the gig is up.
