I worked at Lane Bryant for almost a year. I has to leave to do personal reasons with my son and time conflicts (I was also a full time student) this past spring. Right before I left, Loss Prevention came by and asked us all questions pertaining to store policy and atmosphere amongst the workers. It was fine with me—I had no problems with anyone there.
Almost a month after I left, I receive a letter in the mail from a lawyer representing Charming Shoppes, accusing me of theft of merchandise and ordering me to pay a fine of $150. (Mind you, I'm the smallest one working there and cannot fit any of their clothes). I called Loss Prevention at Corporate office, who told me I should never have gotten that letter and I would receive another letter clearing me of all charges.
Until this day, I still haven't received anything and this incident is probably hindering me from getting another job.
