I hired Robyn Jones to do about two hours' worth of office work for $10 an hour, do a month's worth of laundry that had piled up, and "deep clean" my home while I was away on a business trip. This was to include windows, baseboards, total detailing of my home. I wrote her a check for $280.
When I got back, there was still a dirty spaghetti pan on the stove, and when I looked closer, there were still water spots and spaghetti on the stovetop. I have wood floors, and there were dust bunnies everywhere, unswept. The carpets weren't even vacuumed, and the tile in the kitchen and bathrooms were completely dirty. She didn't bother to do the laundry... It was still in piles. There was an orange mildew stain in my shower floor, and the mirrors had those toothbrushing water spots and smears... No Windex whatsoever.
She said she scrubbed my window sills with bleach; however, I took a video of the grunge and dust that shows they were not touched. An oversight is one thing, and I'm not even that picky, but she didn't clean anything, and she refuses to refund my money.
She has blocked me from sending email. I haven't contacted her in four days. Today I got a call from the Kyle police, wanting to talk to me about email harassment! I can't wait to show them the emails... They are simply me trying to exercise my rights as a consumer and get my money back. I posted my canceled check and pictures of the gross unclean manner she left my house in, and it's been flagged and deleted. Several other people came out and said they had similar experiences with Robyn. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'm very upset that she took pictures inside my home while I was away, totally without my permission. Why would somebody do that? I asked for copies of the pictures, and she ignored my requests.
I'm going to put the video of what my home looked like after her "deep cleaning" on YouTube. It's just unbelievable. She said she put me on notice not to contact her any more and that she's turned it over to her attorney. BUT she did say she would come on over and redo my bathroom to my satisfaction, as she is "professional" and my satisfaction is a priority. WHAT??? She refuses to refund my money, has blocked my email, called her attorney, now has called the police on me, took pictures in my home, charged me $280 for services that she did not perform... Yeah, right, I'm going to open the door right up and welcome her in my home. I've changed the locks on my doors.
Be careful who you bring in your home! Don't be a fool like I was, just because you're in a rush and your house is a mess. I learned the hard way.
