I'm also one of the people left holding the bag on this awful situation. My situation is not quite as bad as some and my experience with them had actually been a good one.
I had lost my goal weight and was in the maintenance phase of my weight loss and had been "on hold" due to surgery. I had started my visits again after the waiting period and was going once a week. When I arrived at the door of the W. Lake Mead location last Saturday and saw the sign I was shocked!
I also called their number listed on the door and got the message that someone would call me within 2 -3 business days. It's Wednesday morning and so far—no call. I'm going to call their 800# today to see if they have any information.
I did pay a lot of money (over $1500) and part of my problem is I financed it through their "CareCredit" arrangement. I have no idea if I have any recourse with them on the balance I still owe—but I doubt it. Regardless—LA Weight Loss still owes me product and time on my program.
