Platinum Protection
Ammon Condie President Sales practices are pushy, deceptive. They prey on scaring women when using male salesmen. Contracts are not explained truthfully and reiterate no obligation which is just the opposite! Ripoff

Salesmen came to my home in June selling home security equipment. Told my wife, that they picked our home because of the way it looked and sat on the block. They told my wife there was no obligation and the equipment was free. What they wanted was to put their security sign on our lawn.

After telling her about the scary things that their system can protect against, they ask her to sign a contract with no obligation. Well, we all have lapse in judgements sometimes, so my wife signed it!? Before she signed, she told them that I would probably be mad and that we were going on vacation the next day.

I believe they saw this as an opportunity as they ripped through my home installing the equipment before I got home.

They cut out my hard wired smoke detection system and replace half of it with theirs. They put holes in the newly painted walls and who knows what else happened in my ceilings. They left so fast that they never put any signage on the lawn. I never knew the equipment was installed untill the next day when my scared wife told me about the system right before we walked out to go on a cruise. There's no obligation. All they wanted was to put a sign in our front lawn. All the equipment was free.

I called to tell Platinum Protection that I wanted the system out of my home. I first talked to a support person who told us that we would be responsible for three years of monthly service charges that was $50 per month. Furious, I talked to her manager "Christie" who reiterated the same lines after a long discussion. Then I went to the Better Business Bureau to get the name of the President of Platinum Protection, Ammon Condie. The most concern he demonstrated was when he found out that the sign wasn't on our lawn yet!

He recommended that they would install another smoke detector for us (since the original homes system had two. Theirs only had one) and that they would get a sign put on our lawn. Other than that, we owed them for the three year contract!

As of right now, this issue is still unresolved. I do know one thing. The sign is still not on the front lawn
