Ripoff-Van Worthless mistreated and ripped off false promises, N.J

Subject to the belief that some people ARE gifted in ways that go beyond a tangible, familiar talent, I received a letter from one Raylene Van Worth. Ms. Worth's letter explained a "vision" she'd had about me and that she'd "forseen" an incredible, (operative word!!!) period of vast good luck headed my way.

The letter went on to explain that for a mere $23.95, she could be my guide to enhance my chances to meet these opportunities and take full advantage of this alleged "lucky streak".

So, I figured, "what the hey... I haven't done anything stupid or taken any frivolous chances lately. Why not? It's only $23.95... I've spent more than that to see a bad movie."

So, host to the same "fathead gene" most humans possess, I sent a money order, (thank God! At least she doesn't have any of my bank info.!!!) and waited for the reply.
After a few weeks, I got the obligatory reply, complete with my "personal horoscope for the month of August" in form letter/pamphlet form. It was basically a mass mailer booklet with the occasional line typed in to make it appear to be aimed at "my special circumstance in the astral scheme".

Also enclosed was a cheap plastic key, designed and allegedly "blessed" with me in mind to open the doors to my coming period of good fortune, (read: open my wallet! She's already sent me a resubscription "notice" for September-another $23.95 to continue my friendship and assure my good fortune. I can hardly wait to forget THAT!)

Anywho, I entered this with a sense of adventure and still believe there are gifted spirits amongst us. However, I would admonish anyone who is contacted and asked for money by a so called "psychic" to remember one basic fact. Those who truly live and deal in things spiritual are a little too busy to pursue mass mailings and devise fee schedules for services on demand. I kind of knew that going in, so, I'm not all that outraged with all this... For me, it was lark, a caprice, if you will, just for laughs. If you actually depended on Ms Van Worth (less) to somehow enhance your life or fix your problems, you're ripping yourself off. She helped you along in this case, but hey... You're your own boss.

Believe in you, treat yourself like a pal and take control of your life. You'll do much better for you and yours and you won't fall victim to those who would use your vulnerabilities for their own personal gain. Obviously, Ms. Van Worth is a con artist and she's probably making a lot of bread off of people willing to hand control of their lives over to ANYONE or THING that sounds like it could be an "easy way" to comfort, love, wealth and all the other ego strokes we, as humans, seem to lust after.
