May 17th World Moving Services was contracted to move my household items from a residence in Colorado to a residence in Tampa, FL. They subcontracted the move to another company, Soraghan Moving & Storage out of Tinley Park, IL. Soraghan picked up my household goods about 10,000 pounds of goods on May 23rd. Since then, I have not seen ANY of my household items! I have contacted both World Moving Services and Soraghan an numerous occasions and got the run-around. Two months after my items had been picked up, I was told by Soraghan that their truck had been stolen and that they were trying to recover my things. I kept calling Soraghan for an update, but they wouldn't return my calls. I called World Moving Services too, and they just blew me off.
I received a call from World Moving Services, June 16 that Soraghan was trying to get a hold of me to deliver my household goods. Now they are holding my things hostage unless I pay a very large sum of money. I did find out that Soraghan has over 99 complaints within the last 36 months, with 1 resolution. World Moving Services should have know about these complaints or should have not contracted out my move to a company that has a fraudulent history! I still am waiting to see what happens. Soraghan is going out-of-business (what a shock) and World Moving Services should be shut down as well for complete incompetence in business practices.
