Great Expectations
Rip off desperate people Near Philadelphia

I was really lonely living on the East coast, I couldn't get along with anybody, they seemed really unfriendly. I can't believe I spent about $2000 for the services of Great Expectations. They refused to tell me how much it cost until the end of a high pressure 'interview'. They told me they'd do a criminal background check and disqualify anyone who didn't have a successful job or mental illness.

I told the girl interviewing me that I wanted a man with blue or green eyes. She said they didn't allow racists. I didn't say anything about race, only eye color. There are people who may prefer their mate to be a certain race!

They really screwed up on my basic profile. They listed me as not wanting to have kids. I asked them several times to correct that error, since few men wanted a woman who doesn't want kids. They got very defensive when I asked them a third time. I called the staff 'idiots' for not creating my simple profile correctly. I also asked them to contact all of the men who had rejected me on the basis of me 'not wanting kids'. They did, but then responded very rudely that the men didn't like me because I was 'physically unattractive'. I got several rude phone calls from the staff that could be considered harrassment by their tone, in defense of their errors.
I never met any men from their service. For some reason not one of the men I selected responded at all.
I transferred to the Phoenix AZ Great Expectations. They said I would have to pay a few hundred dollars for a new photograph for some unexplained reason.
But they didn't know I still could access the website. I did, and contacted a few local men. One of them admitted to be living off SSI for mental illness. He was on very strong antipsychotic medication. GE should have rejected him for those two reasons. He also felt ripped-off by GE.

Another man from GE actually tried to rape me on our first meeting.

And those were the only two men I can recall that I agreed to meet through their service, because all of the others were far too old, disfigured or had very bad personalities.

So, GE claims to screen out undesirable members for reasons like unemployment, mental illness, et cetera. Obviously they don't. What happened when I met these men scarred me for life, and were by far the worst dates I've ever had.

The staff seems malicious, almost intentionally bad customer service.

By far, my experience with Great Expectations was the biggest rip-off I've ever had. I want my money back.

Also, for almost a year after I paid my balance in full, I noticed monthly charges on my credit card. Unauthorized charges from Great Expectations every month were being made, according to the credit card fraud department. I contacted Great Expectations and they denied it. Yet, reading the other reports confirms it.
