We took our family pet to this company to try and deal with some aggression issues that suddenly manifested in our Mastiff due to being mistreated by area kids. We where promised that the issues could and would be resolved after the company did an evaluation of our pet. We paid the company about 4 thousand dollars for 4 types of training on the company's suggestion during that evaluation. 1, a 2 week "board and train" a weekly one on one training for life, a weekly aggression training and a weekly group class. All aimed at saving our pet.
After a YEAR we have had no improvement, and our pet has actually gotten worse. FACT (from the guy that actually took our dog for the 2 week board and train) The entire 2 weeks was used by him to "get to know our pet" He then quit the company shortly after basically wasting the time he had spent. Our dog actually cam back injured from that training with a bleeding nose. Know of the things that we paid for during that 2 week training where actually done. (We where to receive a video of our dogs improvement during the training, our dog was to receive aggression training 1 on 1 during this entire 2 weeks... We found out later from the "trainer" he walked our dog around his local area.) There was really no improvement in our dog after this 2 week training. We continued to bring him in for his 1 on 1 weekly training. The trainer that had worked with our dog suddenly quit, and from that point our the "training" basically became us brinign in the dog and having one of there guys have US walk the dog around for a few minutes giving it a few commands and then go on about what we where doing. As far as the "group" classes, we where told after the first night of trying to go not to bring our dog back cause "we" could not control him. (200 pound dog, 145 pound owner after a YEAR worth of their "training")
After Speaking with to 2 local Specialist with Doctorates in animal behavior, Talking with 2 other trainers who specialize in our breed and Talking with 2 different Vets (1 of whom has know our dog since he was 6 weeks old) They all agree that the type of training that this company provided actually made the initial problem worse. The only thing that we can do at this point is have the 2 year old dog put down. We have even discussed this with 3 National rescues and they also agree.
My Wife works with dog rescues, and has for the last 15 years. We are very familiar with dogs and have another dog who is fully trained and no issue at all. We also foster dogs, who are in need of a good home and when those dogs leave our house they are all happy and healthy dogs who will love on anyone. I'm adding that part to show that we are not some dog newbies but have an actually clue as to how to handle dogs.
We have even asked for a partial refund, due to the fact that we PAID for training that was never received and training we where then told we could not use. Of course at that point they tried to make it all out to be our fault, and refused to even let us speak with the owner stating that he would say no different that the manager we where talking with. All in all our experience with this company has been poor at best. And we are not stopping at usacomplaints.com in letting people know. We will be posting this to all the Dog boards that my wife works with daily.
