I purchased a "show quality" puppy from Mary in March for $950. I flew to MO to pick up the pup and fly him back home with me since he supposidly weighed 1 lb... I received the dog, they forgot his health paper in the car, they left and a little girl ran the paper back in for me. On the paper, it said the pup's bite was off; he had a short lower jaw.
To make a long story very short, I had to get it fixed since his lower baby eye teeth were growing into his upper pallet. When his adult teeth came it, if I had not had it fixed, he would have major issues. About $2000 later, my dog is issue free and 15 lbs. He looks more like a dachshund/chihuahua mix; long body, floppy ears, long nose, but VERY cute.
In the mean time, I was trying to get half of a refund from the breeder, Mary. She said she would make things right, but after a while they stopped taking my calls and ignored my emails. She told she would send the half-refund after I sent her his original registration application papers, which of course, I did.
I love my pup to death, and I wouldn't give him up for anything, but this lady is not honest. I received a phone call this morning from a dective in Missouri who is researching a criminal case against them! I found out the many people in New York have contacted the police department in Lamar, MO, regarding this woman. Some people have very, very sick dogs and Mary had not following up with her own Health Guarantee. Please beware of her! And if you have any complaints about her, please contact the Lamar Police Department, and let them know there is already an investigation going on with Mary Goodwin regarding chihuahua puppies!
