My business have Gulf Pacific recently have a "salesman" make a call on us following a call from a telemarketer. We were told how wonderful Gulf Pacific was and how they could help us... Well all I can say is buyer beware. We agreed to have an analysis done, and insteatd of a worthwhile analysis, we were pressure sold to contract with Gulf Pacific to have consulting done for our business.
We needed help alright, but having to be foreced into a contract that was not explained to us, and promises made to us that Gulf Pacific would help us finance the project were total lies. When the consultants arrived, they were professional in their approach and we felt sorry that such nice and smart people were caught up in the lies of their own company.
They called thier office and were told that there could be no financing other than a pay as you go scheme that we could not afford. They continued to reassure us that we would work it out and so we went forward with the consultants.
They did give us a lot of good information, but when it came time to pay the bill, well we simply could not make our payroll and pay Gulf Pacific as well. The president of the company, Arthur Vanlandingham evidently became involved and turned a cold shoulder to us, and talked down to us like we were children. He insulted both my wife and I and made us feel guilty for nedig the help that we needed. He was a slick higher level salesman on the phone. We could tell he had no intention of honoring the commitments made by his first consultant that convinced us that we would be out of business without the help right away of Gulf Pacific.
We trusted them to do the right thing by us, but found out they are just as bad as the other money grabbers out there. The got our busienss through their lies, and when it came time for the owner of Gulf Pacific to deliver the promise of helping us, well forget that. He is the worse companhy president we have ever dealt with in our 15 years in business.
The thing we can say to everyone reading this report, that if you are being pressured into something, and promises are being made to you, get those promises in writing or you too can have a problem with a busienss like Gulf Pacific. We would advise that you do not do business with this company... They are slick and experienced at getting in your pocket and taking your money!
