Fraud theft & holiday scams from fye stores putting unauthorized charges on your debit & credit cards & refusing to refund ripoff, pittsburgh

I feel it is my duty to bring to everyones attention a SCAM that is being run by the Transworld Entertainment Corporation. They own stores such as:

FYE
Strawberrys
Sam Goody
Suncoast
Recordtown

To name a few. They are located in major malls all over. They sell CD's, DVD's etc.

My experience was with the "FYE" Store in Robinson Mall in Robinson Township, PA. I went to this FYE STORE to buy a CD for my son for Christmas. This was on November 22nd. I paid with my debit card. I recently received my bank statement and noticed that again TWO DAYS LATER THEY DEBITED MY ACCOUNT AGAIN FOR THE SAME PURCHASE! Naturally I contacted FYE in Robinson Mall and asked them to refund my money and they told me that they received an email about this problem and they were aware that customers were being double billed and that "CORPORATE" would handle it.

Of course this did not happen. I contacted the store again when this was not done and got the same excuse. So I called "Corporate". They told me that it is a "CHAINWIDE PROBLEM" and THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. To contact my credit card company. I proceeded to tell them that they cannot help themselves to money in my account without authorization and they flat out did not care, nor would they do anything about it!

PLEASE check your credit card statements and bank statements if you have purchased anything from these retailers! This is obviously how they make their profits. Especially this holiday season! Fortunately I check my statements. Unfortunately I did not get my money back YET. I will have to go to my bank and file an dispute against them. Then wait about 60 days to get my money back. I don't know about you but I work and don't have extra time (or money) to waste. Not to mention I don't trust that they won't pull something like this on me again.

If you have had Fraudulent purchases placed on your account from any of these retailers, call their Corporate Headquarters. You can also call: 1-800-540-1242. That is the "Corporate" number. Press "0" and ask for Sales Audit. I spoke to MaryLou. Her boss "George X7749" who won't even acknowledge my call.

Pass this on to make everyone aware!
