Dollar Self Storage
Held Hostage for lack of password! False Imprisonment! Extortion!

Have stuff in storage there under a family members name. Neither of us could remember our code to get in the front gate. There is NOTHING posted at the front saying you are not to follow other cars in. Another vehicle immediately opened the gate and we followed them in. When it was time to leave we parked by the gate to wait for another to leave so we could follow them out.

The office man ran out saying we tripped an alarm and he charges 15 dollars for that and we had to pay it right then or he wouldn't let us out. We argued that was unreasonable and probably criminal to hold us hostage for this unfair fee, especially since no warning is posted in any way shape, or form so you might understand what you are getting into. He was very arrogant and certain we had no recourse but to be his prisoners until we submitted to his demands. We paid the $15.00 "bail" fee.

I contacted the Phoenix Police Department to complain of this scam/criminal act and was told it was private property and we should have remembered our code.

Don't do business with scam artists Dollar Storage in Phoenix and if you do, don't expect the Phoenix Police to help you in any way, they don't care!
