Alices Classy Cocker Spaniels Wonderland Cocker Spaniels
Breeder sells cocker spaniels with cataracts and other health problems! Ripoff

I emailed Alices' Classy Cockers about 2 cocker spaniel females she had for sale that had just turned TWO years old. She and I talked on the phone, numerous emails (I have them all) and she knew I was going to use these girls for breeding purposes.

About 10 days after I got them and they were a bit more comfortable in coming up to me (very shy and timid), I realized one had a very LARGE cataract in one eye. It was so large it was visible without any special tools! That means the cataract had been there for a very long time.

Both girls immediately went to the vet. My vet saw her and verified the cataract was there, large and should have been seen by Alice and her vet. The cataract as well as both girls have severe ear infections and horrible ear mites. Alice said the ears were clean but that does not mean they were free of infection or mites. I spent over $50 on ear medications. This type of infection & infestation does not happen in a few days.

When I contacted Alice she offered to replace the afflicted girl but I would be responsible to ship her back to Alice, $100 for a new dog and all shipping charges for the new dog! I offered to have this one spayed and in a good home and she refused. I had to return the dog and all the paperwork.

I paid $1000 for these 2 girls and now am out $500. This girl will not be bred. I have found a forever home for her and she will be spayed prior to placement.

I asked Alice if she did any CERF testing on her dogs and she said no that it was too costly. That the only dogs she tested for hereditary problems was the ones she had in the show ring!

This means that those that buy her puppies may be getting a pup out of parents who have cataracts, glaucoma or other hereditary eye problems and their pup could have early onset of juvenile problems, too.

This tells me she is only showing dogs to make herself look good!

NOW Alice has changed her kennel name to Wonderland Cockers. Why is that? To get away from those that have bought puppies/dogs from her who are blind or have other problems?
