Back in April of I ordered windows and doors from Lowes to be installed. I paid them in full - $20,348.44. The products showed up Sept. 25, and were all substandard, broken, would not fit, just trash. Lowes agreed to refund me in total on October 2, signing an agreement as to how the money would be returned. On Oct. 4, credits - 5 of them in total, were issued. I waited. And waited, checking my account daily. As of October 24, only $4,417.96 of the amount due me was refunded. I went to my bank who told me the balance due me of $15,930.48 was sitting in Lowe's visa account and Lowes chose not to release it for 30 days - THIS IS CALLED UNJUST ENRICHMENT AND IS ILLEGAL. I called the store who told me that after more consideration on their part, they were going to REVERSE the small refund I had gotten of $4,417.96, because it was being credited back to an account that it was not originally charged on. This, of course, would take another 30 days to process. This, of course, was done by me in the beginning because the original credit card we used, we no longer even had. Lowes told me, well that would delay it further because they would have to wait for the money to kick back to them in 30 days and then it would take another 30 days for them to issue a check. This means, they have my money for 9 months and I have no products or services.
CIVIL FRAUD! I still have not gotten any of the missing refund from them, they won't return my calls, and customer care at corporate complex won't allow me to try to speak to someone further up the food chain. What a rip-off!!!
