RIPOFF Customer Service a thing of the PAST!

My story begins 8/9/06 (Wed) when I first report my A/C out to FAH. Thursday evening 8/10/06 a fat slobbish man comes to tell me the compressor is out. He said he had one in stock... He'd put it in on Friday 8/11/06.

I called him Friday around 1 o'clock he said that he would be there that evening. I said GREAT! It's over a 105 degrees. Fabulous!!! Then... He told me that there was a $250 "Bumping me on the list" fee. I did a quick..."WHAT". He said there were others ahead of me and that is the cost. I told him to never mind and that I would report him to FAH (First American Homebuyers). He then hung up on me. I immediately called and (only God knows how, but he had already called in on me he must have a special phone number to call, because it took me 24 minutes to talk to a human) he REFUSED the job. I was assured that he was in the wrong and that another A/C company would call me back right away. (One weekend no A/C in Texas)

Well on Monday 8/14/06 no call, Tuesday 8/15/06 another company came out told me I needed a new compressor. Okay so the first idiot was correct. They would order it and it would be in on Thursday. Great Thursday 8/17/06 two morons that don't own a Mapsco finally showed up around 6pm. The NEW compressor wouldn't hold freon. They would have to send out an "A/C technician" out on Friday. Keep in mind... They were A/C guys?!?!

Friday 8/18/06 the same guy from Tuesday came out and said it's a BAD compressor!!! How the heck did that happen? Not sure lady, it RARELY happens. We'll order another one for Monday. Great... (2nd weekend no A/C in Texas)

Monday 8/21/06 No Call
Tuesday 8/22/06 No Call
Wednesday 8/23/06 No Call
Thursday 8/24/06 It might be tomorrow!!!

Friday 8/24/06 I call the A/C company and FAH hasn't issued what the A/C people need to pick up the compressor. I then called the FAH people and they say no one has ordered it? I'm still waiting for THAT supervisor to call me... (3rd weekend no A/C in Texas)

Monday 8/28/06 I'm hotter than a hornet, I start early (9 o'clock in the morning)... I'm going to get air today. So I think. I call the A/C people... They show the compressor ordered and it will be today. I call FAH and they say that it was ordered Saturday and it should be today.

Monday afternoon... I call FAH to ask the status and they said that the A/C company has the compressor but can't install because it's RAINING!!! It hasn't rained here in months, but today rain. Fine. I call the A/C company and they say they have no compressor. No idea when it will be in, they don't know anything. Still waiting for this supervisor from FAH to call.

I get home, in tears, call a real A/C company... And they are coming in the morning. I'll have to pay for everything myself, which I didn't plan for. Not to mention, I'm still waiting for some supervisor to call me and help me in some way.

It's unfortunate that people invest in this "wonderful" selling bonus and we get nothing in return. Where has customer service gone? Does anyone care about the hard-working American citizen that bust their hump each and every day? My boss would can me if I didn't return a phone call, reply to an e-mail or say "good morning" when I answer the phone. Do any company's out there have a "Real... Live... HUMAN to answer the phone? Have we all gone into "VOICE mail society"?

My next idea is to contact my local news. There is one guy that can solve almost anything. Is it worth it? Do I dare put myself through that to prove a point?

Why not? I'm mad, hot and have nothing to lose!
