Iam shocked to read Robins account of her accident. Oct 18 I was on my way to the mountains on 221 in Chesnee, A man pulled in front of a woman pulling from the center to go north and she hit him on the passenger side of his car as he was now in the north bound lane. I saw the accidenet happen and stopped my car feeling I was far enough away and would not get involved little did I know he would come straight at me and hit me full force dead center.
I was taken to Spartanburg hospital, the next morning my daughter picked me up, I felt like I had been hit in the back of the head with a bat and could hardly move. I was driving my daughters car that was totaled, the lady who was charged had only 25,000 so they paid the Preachers car 20,000 immediately and we had to get the balance from my daughters insurance. I came home and found many calls from insurance co on my answering machine I was watching TV and Henson Law was advertising I called got an appt met with their rep and they took my case, I also met Randy Kale in Hensons office that day. He suggested I see someone local so I did, it was not helping I was a mess, The bills got paid and Kale Consultant got a percentage for getting my bills reduced but Henson also got his cut. Randy then mentioned Kale Clinic (the original who did help me)
It took 4 years to settle, I went to a deposition to see about going to trial but the trial lawyer told me he would not go to trial and on my say so try to accuse the Preacher who hit me and look like a jacka*. Therefore last August I was notified by Brenda Johnson to come to meet with Mr. Henson, to talk about the settlement, I was upset over the amount but that day Mr. Henson was very nice, I was notified in Sept the check from State Farm for $5,000. And a check for 500.00 from the Preachers company was at the office and I could pick them up. I called that day to make sure Mr. Henson was in I was told he was at the dentist but would be returning, when I arrived at the office I was told he would not be in by Brenda, I ask to speak to another attorney in the office which she said there was none, I then told her since they had told me I would get no more from State Farm I would sign the check but the one for 500.00 I would sign in protest she refused to allow me to do so, I felt it was my right as I felt he caused the accident and his company should be responsible, I left and had second thought so next day called another attorney and ask could I reverse this, he said he never heard of doing so.
I also called the rep from State Farm I was very upset at that time, and when I spoke with Brenda she said I said I was going to sue them and etc. I never said this and then I got a voice mail on my mobil, from Mr. Henson who said he was away and he did not appreciate the way I treated his staff and was very rude but then called me back to say you are ill, mentally ill. I was mortified as I had done nothing to make him say this to me. I felt it was my right to sign the check the way I wanted but Brenda Johnson would not allow it.
I am so shocked over what has gone on as I had visited Randy Kale since for treatment so when I called Kale on Blackstock Road and was told he was not affiliated with them and then read this report I was in shock this could have happened.
I now have a Chiropractor who said the xRAYS show a great deal of damage to the cervical area no doubt due to the trauma mentioned, I have pulled my MRI and the reports which stated I had tears, bulges and a lot going on just 2 weeks after the accident yet they never felt it should go to trial, so now I will have to put money out for a year of treatment to "try", and get myself in a bit of order.
Since the accident I have never been the same, I have been unable to remember things, unable to sleep, neck pain and left leg pain, I cannot hardly garden as I once did, life has been a pain.
I hate this happened to Robin and I but I wish I had known about this before I would have chosen someone else to handle my case.
