I've been taking our pets to this clinc for a few years. The Fort Kent Animal Hospital was owned by a great vet by the name of Dr. Eric Hunter. Over a year ago Dr. Hunter retired and, after the hospital was purchased by Dr. Chris Yule, several changes were made, all of them bad news for pets in the area.
After Dr. Chris Yule purchased the Fort Kent Animal Hospital the nice office staff were replaced with staff who are rather curt and at other times very rude. On a couple of my visits the waiting area smelled.
It seems like that's all this vet cares about is her "dog sled races". That is very interesting, but I think it really puts it in a bit of perspective about how a person views animals. Many sponsors have pulled their support for such events and I think you would need to have a very different point of view to support that activity. Animal as "beast of burden" rather than animal as pet and friend.
From what I have seen a great place to take your pets under Dr. Hunter has turned into a farm animal veterinary center under Dr. Chris Yule. Next time I need services for my cow, pig, chicken or sled dog I'll know where to go.
I wish Dr. Eric Hunter and his fine staff were back!
