Consolidated Media Services is a rip-off. I too was in the middle of a Death In the Family. I was lead to beleive this was something that I could cancel at anytime:
When I received this call, I had just received the news that one of My sisters had passed. Shortly after returning from Her Funeral, I left town. I am an OTR Truck Driver, and I had buisness on the Wast Coast. Upon returning a few weeks later I, found this bill, for so much more than I had remembered.
I called CMS, talked to a representive, telling Her the circumstances, and politely asked Her to cancel. She said that they could not do that. I told Her once again to cancel, She repeated. No Way! A couple of days later I received a letter from CMS, stating that they would no longer bill My Credit Card, but, wouold continue to send invoices! I've contacted the Federal Trade Commision. I now have a formal complaint w/a File#.
They told Me to tell others, the more that file w/them, the quicker They can do something about it. I have since drafted a letter to CMS, to send them over E-mail, but quess what!? The have only a web-site that You cannot send E-mail too! Can You beleive this s_—!! Meanwhile... I'm taking the magazines they send, putting them in a carton, that when it is full, I'll start another, and another... I plan on shipping these back to them C.O.D.!!
This CMS is a Consumer RIP-OFF, in the complete meaning fo the word!!! I will continue to "harrass" them as they have done Me, until I get My letter from the Federal Trade Commision, that tells Me I will be repayed-in-full the Amt of $ that I've been RIPPED-OFF for!
