This is my first report on rip-off forums. I am looking for advice only. Here is what happens in short.
This is Indian grocery store in Fresno California.india Sweets and Spices. They have everything from food, soap, milk, spices, every Indian product a normal Indian family consume. No complaint against variety or quality of products. Every time he gives me receipt their is nothing mentioned on it it will look something like this
Example of receipt
Grocery — $2.99
grocery — $3.49
grocery — $4.49
grocery — $1.49
tax1 — $1.06
cash & $13.52
clerk 1 no. 573785 00000
Now if you take a look.
1. Can you tell what customer bought?
2. Can you tell which item is taxable?
3. Can you tell how much money you gave and what you have in return changed?
Even thought I make most of transactions by ATM or credit Card. It will still say cash on their receipt.
I know its not big deal to some of you. But it can be confusing when you see something on sale for $1.00 and he is charging you $1.49. He has made mistakes many times if I don't pay attention he will ring up things so fast that no one can tell anything is wrong with price. I asked owner of store to give me proper receipt and he said I am not going to change the way we do business here if you like it you come or you don't. Loll I am not big argument person. I just saw this forum and thought might share opinion with you guys and may be you can give me some advise.
Please do give your advise which option I should go with and why?
1. shop their and just live with it.
2. Stop going their and make no complaints about it
3. Stop going their and file a complaint.
4. Make him change the way he does business.
If you feel like I should do something about this please tell me procedure how to? Where to go for this sort of complaints? I want to lawyer stuff for such thing. Their has to be some other way to solve this beside court.
