This company is using deceptive practices in getting people to sign up for there service.
I received a call from their representative stating I would recieve a free pager and a 1-800 number. I informed the representative I was not interested in the service, but she assured me I would not be charged until I mailed in the coupon for my free pager. I was also told, I would have up to a year to activate the pager.
Well, turns out the pager was not free, I had to send in a $60 payment and a $49.90 activation and monthly fee showed up on my bill.
I called 1-800-228-0452 to cancle the service. I was told by Brian, the representative, that I had two options. Completely cancle the service, but I would still be obligated to pay the $49.90, or I could request a credit for the monthly fee, but I would still have to call back within 30 days to cancel the service (What?).
I asked to speak to a supervisor so I could get the corporate mailing address to report this to the FCC. The supervisor informed me he was unable to provide me with this information (What?).
This is a pure scam and they are ripping people off. I will be mailing a letter not only to the FCC, but also to my local action live in the state I live in.
If anyone gets a call from these people, hang up!
