In Febraury my roommate got a call from World Voice Link. My roommate asked me if I wanted anything on my phone bill and I said "NO". He then told the customer representative that he can't and that it is not his phone. The rep then told him that it is a "FREE" pager and that he doesn't have to claim it for a year. My Roommate was told just to answer some question and that the pager will be available when he gets his own phone hooked up. So he said "YES"
A month later I was charged 29.95 for activation and 19.95 for the first month and was also charged again 19.95 the next month. We called to cancel the service and also wanted charges be "CREDITED". Why would they charge for activation if the pager is not claimed? Shouldn't they charge when they send the pager to the person. "THEY LIED"!!! This company has to be shut down.
When we called they have a recording when the automated questionaire was being answered but not the whole conversation. We called over and over again and the company was very rude. They wouldn't answer our questions directly. They also gave us the run around about speaking to a supervisor and having a "HEARING" about our grievances. I hope that I get my 76.00 dollars back.
