Ripoff screwed others too

When Bigredwire bought Northgate, it took them half a year to consolidate the old Northgate accounts. During the time it was not possible to use the servie, of course.
After the successful account transfer, the service was still not available. Repeated requests, as to why, were eventually answered. It turned out BigRedWire ceased operations in Hong Kong, where I reside and where I need the service.
Since it became moot to remain their customer, I requested the deletion of my account and refund of the outstanding balance. After (again) repeated requests to do so, they told me that they have changed the credit card company and had delays with the refunds. I was asked to be patient for another 3 months.
Almost 2 years passed since my first request. I sent hundreds of emails with exactly the same demand. If I'm lucky, I get the same automated response asking me to wait for (again) 3 months (90 days).
As the company is still in operation, I find the fact outragous, that they don't refund their customers money and get away with it.
I hope it is not symptomatic for how business is done in the US.
