Mom's Wholesale Florist
Ripoff POOR Customer Service

The examples of poor service I experienced follow:
*The sales pitch was very high-pressure.
*The salesperson described a number of service levels available, but drew up the contract with only the full service level price. I felt pressured to accept the full price.
*The price of the contract made no specification of the type of flowers to be used, which can significantly influence the final price.
*The salesperson left the negotiation table to have an assistant who could not answer our questions seal the deal.
*When I called to cancel the contract in late January, the salesperson I spoke with was unnecessarily curt and rude to me on the phone. She flatly told me that since I cancelled my contract, I "get nothing" (Note: the fact that the deposit was non-refundable was stipulated in the contract. I asked if I could put the amount toward store credit, and it was the rudeness of the associate in reply that made a bad experience worse). I posted negative reviews of my experience on two local internet wedding forums. I sent a letter in February to the company regarding these issues, along with copies of the bad internet reviews. Since posting said reviews, other forum members have posted similar bad experiences with this company.

Mr. Azevedo (I assume, as the correspondence was unsigned) sent a very unprofessionally written letter in response that did not address my complaint of customer service, but instead reiterated the fact that I had signed a contract. He stated that I was "one of the main reasons that we have them [contracts]". He also stated that by cancelling my contract, I "lied" to the company. He then stated that I "miss used my freedom of speech on the internet", and that my "aqusations" were "pointless". He then threatened to sue me for slander unless I take my reviews off of the internet and state publicly that "I was wrong, and make good on our [the company's] name." I feel that there is nothing that I can do that can do more damage to this company's image than what they have sent me themselves.
