My wife and I purchased a timeshare from Sunterra in Williamsburg Va.in may. The salesperson told us about all of the wonderful properties they had. We took a special intrest in the European properties. He told us that they were beautiful and that availability was not a problem.
We decided to make a purchase. We told him that the reason we were buying was because of the European properties. We had a grace period of seven days to desolve the contract. The problem was we were not given a member number during that period to check on availability.
When we finally got our member number we found out we couldn't get into any of the properties in Europe. When we contacted the reservation department we were told that the inventory in Europe is taken up by the people in that area. When I contacted our salesman he told me that he didn't know anything about availability in Europe.
Please don't let this happen to you. We are stuck with a 17,000 dollar bill and can't use the product in the way we wanted to.
