Ripoff bait and switch, false advertising, and very bad customer service from owner/manage

I purchased a chocolate basket for my girlfriend on Monday February 13 and the basket was to be delivered on the 14th Yes Valentines day! Well it was delivered on that day and on time however that same night I saw the basket that was sent and it contained 3 chocolate bars a box or 2 of some type of chocolate balls and 1 lollipop?

Here is what she should've gotten www.crystalflowershop.com/product.Asp? Id=34758 I will be taking a picture of it so you can compare it for yourself it is ridiculous the switch they tried to pull. I will also post that here.

I went down to the shop Crystal Flower Shop, Inc. 2815 s. Kedzie Ave. Chicago, IL 60623 and spoke to the manager (who I was told was the owner too) and she stated we could have a store credit of $50 for returning the basket and we may choose another item she also said that they knew it was not the right basket and that they had to send something out in order to make sure there orders were filled? My girlfriend did not want another item she wanted that basket, so she said if you keep that basket you will get a partial refund and would call me the next day to let me know how much that refund would be.

She decided to keep the basket and get the partial refund because we were told the other basket would not be ready for almost a week. Well the next day I did not receive any call from them nor did I get anyone on the phone. When I called Friday I was told she was busy. Saturday she was not there and Sunday they had no idea when she would be in or what time she would get there, also there was no other manager available to speak with.

This happened from Friday February 17 to Monday February 20 and finally today (2/22/06) we got in contact with carol and she said she we already had taken the store credit with them so the deal was done - we then reminded her that the problem was not resolved that day and that she stated she would call me the next day, once her memory was refreshed she then said we can get a refund if we returned the basket which to me is just brushing me off.

I did not want it to come to this but I believe they did this deliberately that is to charge me the full price then go around and send a smaller/cheaper basket with the belief that it was being sent to a different address and therefore I would not see the smaller less expensive basket and thus never know they got away with this! Well they have not because this is no longer about the basket or the money its all about the principle! Either way they are wrong its either a bait and switch operation or a false advertising scam.
