Silv Communications contacted in my company in January and said they were calling from Verizon (our phone carrier) and asked if we wanted to take advantage of the 30% discount that had been offered to us when we opened the account. I knew that this must be a scam (come on, your phone company calling with a discount!) but I was curious and kept them on the phone to see what kind of questions they would ask. They asked for some personal information - date of birth and social security number. I didn't give it to them and also told them that I was recording the phone call. The caller hung up but my next Verizon bill showed that my service had been canceled effective that day. I had been slammed by Silv Communications. Calls to the company are either unanswered or not returned.
