Now that Cellular One and Alltel are merging into one cell compnay, they have put into FINE print that our "nights/weekends" start at 9 P.M., rather than 8 P.M. As is on my contract. Once these old contracts run out, people will be loosing 60 minutes per night Mon - Fri (300 minutes per week or 1200 minutes per month!!!) yet the fees for their very POOR service is only going UP! Their actual name here in the San Angelo, TX area should be "Cellular Dropped" or "Can't Tell" because calls are nearly impossible to keep. Also, moving the time for nights/weekends to 9 P.M. Only means there will be far LESS calls being placed because most folks are getting ready for BED, not "chat time". According to the company, the reason they have such poor connection service is because they don't even own any of the signal locations and are having to use those of other companies, and those calls placed by phones linked with the actual OWNERS of those signal locations "bump" the rest of us off of our phones. I nearly had an extremely valuable World Grand Champion stallion bleed to death because I couldn't even get a signal and keep it standing at my own property! And when someone tried to break into our home one day, I couldn't get a signal to call the sheriff's dept! The two most important times and I had "no service" because they were not able to supply me with a signal. I got this phone because I wanted to be able to keep in contact with another woman who worked for me. We both got Cellular One for that purpose, yet all we got was dropped call after dropped call between us. Couldn't keep a connection through a whole conversation, and usually not for more than a few seconds there for over six months. These prices are outragious when they can't provide services due to not owning any towers, and they say they can get away with it because the contract says "we do not guarentee service at all times". At ALL times I can see, but when it's a constant and DAILY thing, it's not right!
