Photographers with studios: BEWARE of this guy. James (AKA Lereefe Productions) may call you to rent your studio for a shoot. 1) The guy is sloppy 2) Unprofessional with his clients 3) Asked for a "30 day invoice" but then he disapears.
I thought this was an unusual request since most photoraphers pay for the studio rental immediately after the shoot. Nonetheless, being an ethical business person, I honered his request. A week went by, no call, no show and no check in the mail. At two weeks his cell phone went dead. On the third week it was on again, and I'm playing "bill collector" after I did him the favor of "invoicing him".
I finally get a hold of him and it's exuse after exuse. He actually had the guts to blame his client. His exact words: "she didn't pay you yet? I invoiced her a long time ago". After this run around game he made 3 different appointments to show up and 3 different times he just flaked. And of course when I call, it goes right into voicemail with no return call.
Photographers: Stay away from this guy and DO NOT rent your studio to him. He'll leave your studio a mess, drink all your booze and make empty promises he never keeps. Not worth the headache - especially when you need to chase after your own money.
