Ripoff: Store took lathe turned pens and refuses to pay for them

ZYZYX is a store that sells Gifts, Crafts and Jewelry. They take objects on consignment from craftspeople and jewelers. The idea is that, at some point they are supposed to either pay the artisan or return the merchandise.

I have been trying to collect for some items I left with the company. I had dealt with the current owners husband, who unfortunately died some time ago. I have repeatedly sent Mrs. Rishty, (the previous owners widow, who took over the Bethesda store., lists of the merchandise her husband signed for, as well as the checks I received. My records show the store owes me $106. I have asked the store to check their check book to see if they can find any checks, other than the ones I had a record of. Their answer has been no reply to my two letters, several calls and one fax..

Craftspeople and Artisans: Be very careful about consignment arrangements with this store.

Customers: Do you want to buy from a company that refuses take the time to investigate what I believe is a legitimate claim?
