I was contacted by Consumer Reward Network today, Oct. 12th, 05at 10A.M. Like all the rest I was offered a $500 shopping spree to look over their material and give my opinion for only a one time processing fee of 4.95. Which I didn't have to pay right away! They kept passing me along to one "supervisor" after another and I kept asking questions to which they would reply to with reassurance that they were legit and they trusted me, etc. They are relentless! They worked on me for 30 min. I, unfortunately gave them my acct.# and a check#, but when it came to the recorded confirmation stage, I had had enough and told them that this whole process was getting on my nerves and that I didn't want their so called "shopping spree" and that I would be calling my bank immediately to dispute any amount coming out of my acct. To them (CRN) I told CRN that I thought they were a scam and hung up on them. They tried calling me back several times, I didn't answer. What I am afraid of is that they will edit their voice recording to manipulate my answers to be saying "yes" to all of their questions. I did call my bank and they put a stop-payment on that check. How are they able to submit a check for the 4.95 more than once?
