To all those who sent in their comments, thank you! I guess I should have looked on-line while I was on the phone with the customer sales person. (I have learned my lesson!) Based on what I have read, I am a little better off with $198.00 package (no cruise though) However, I was not informed of the hotel taxes either and the sales person basically made a great sales pitch regarding the Ramada Ocean Beach upgrade ($135.00; I was not given any other choices) Since our travel date has already been set and plane tickets purchased... There is no turning back at this point.
I began to look for the address and start to look at the on-line reviews... I am a little scare at this point (as students, I thought this could be a great break for my friend and I... And now, I am quite afraid to go on this trip). My friend and I are both very allergic to mold, roaches, and other non-sanitary conditions. Based on the reviews I have read, I am quite concern and furious regarding the upgrade charge at this moment. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that can provide some advice regarding what we can do at this point?
To all those who are reading this, the lesson is: Never buy anything over the phone without looking on-line first. When things sound like too good to be true, they are!!!
