This company moved us from AZ to TX April 29th. I had arranged this move through a broker, who had given a binding estimate of $1680 to the moving company, this is not including a $950 fee I paid to them up front.
When the moving company arrived, although I had less items than was reported to the broker because we have 2 pick-ups that were loaded with items, he refused to load our furniture unless we paid $1900 to him instead of the $1680. When my furniture arrived, three items were missing, a 22 rifle, a floor lamp and a 1 inch drill, among other small items. There was damage to several items, which they SO GRACIOUSLY sent me a $24 check to cover damages, but I received nothing to compensate for the lost items. They refuse to answer any communication.
The man who runs this company is a dishonest crook who needs to be put out of business. I have heard that at one time he operated the company under a different name and was put out of business because of dishonest business practices, and opened again under the name of Ameriqwest. This company hires help to load the truck that look like persons who are not of good calibre. The truck they loaded was a Budget rent truck which was later unloaded in a warehouse and loaded onto another truck to be brought later to the Texas address. This man is a sleazy no good crook who preys on people who have put their trust in their company and something needs to be done to him and his company.
