I purchased some shoes and a coat off of www.urbanbungalow.net. I paid with a money order ($223.35). The company emailed me and said they recieved my payment. I didn't recieve my order though, because they didn't have the coat in my size or color and some of the shoes I ordered was out of stock.
A woman by the name of Elise emailed me and told me this. At first I went to the site to find other things I liked, I found some things. I ordered them then minutes later decided it wasn't what I really wanted. So, I cancelled it. The company emailed me back within a hour to let me know that they recieved the cancellation of my orders. This all happened on Jan. 25. The company is suppose to be giving me a refund but I haven't heard from them since.
I would email them and ask them when I can expect my refund but they would never respond to my email. I also would call the number they gave on the site but it's a recorder. I leave my name, phone #, and the reason for the call on the recorder but no one would respond. When I make a purchase they respond no later than 24 hours.
When I ask about my money they ignore the emails and the calls. This makes me think they have no intentions in paying me back. The money order was also cashed on Feb. 5... Later in April I was still calling and email to get my money but no answer. So I said if I act as though I'm ordering something they'll email me back and guess what they did. This is when I found out they gave me store credit. So I ordered some things and believe it or not they ran out of my sizes in everything except these $37.00 boots I had on my order. So I had to make a new order. I did. This order was to be shipped to me at the end of April I never recieved any items from the order.
Here it is July 21 and I'm still trying to get in touch with them. Out of $223.35 they gave me 37.00 back. The only reason I believe they called themselves giving me a store credit is because I filed a complaint at the Better Business Burearu in Feb. 2005.
