How many hundreds (literally!) of complaints have to be made against this company before they are forced to face the consequences of their actions? Especially when 80% of the complaints say the EXACT same thing? Xkr Essex, Inc grossly misrepresents its services and makes false claims. Once your payment of approx. $300.00 is received, some (not all) customers receive via email an application for a business license, and nothing more. Others have received nothing at all.
Best Case Scenario: Xkr Essex, Inc does for you EXACTLY as they promise by a) emailing you a copy of an application which is available for free, and b) mailing it for you - for a service fee of $300. THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE CHARGING YOU FOR! This is what they are promising. Creatively worded, granted, but this is it, folks! Read the company's Service Agreement - carefully. And THEN...
YOU ALSO MUST PAY all license fees and taxes after the government offices receive your application! You would have just paid Xkr Essex, Inc. $300 for five minutes of their time and a $. 37 stamp! You bought yourself a free application for $300. Congratulations!
Xkr Essex, Inc. Also seems to be unsure of exactly what a seller's permit is, and of the difference between a government filing fee and a tax. What Xkr Essex THINKS is a seller's permit, and CALLS a "business license" are NOT!
Xkr Essex, Inc. Has stated repeatedly that they "emailed the business license". Once again, they email the application... And call it a "license". The subject of the email even reads, "Here is your business license". Usually, this is the last you will hear from the company.
They will then threaten whistle-blowers with a defamation law suit because they have "done their job" by emailing a free application.
